It is with great sorrow that we report the death of Ratan Naval Tata, a distinguished former chairman of Tata Sons and a titan of Indian business, at 86 years of age. He passed away on Thursday while at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a drop in blood pressure.
His threat status soon worsened, and for that reason, he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit – ICU. Ratan Tata’s successful leadership monitoring can be characterised as ethically sound and philanthropic. It can be said that during his tenure the Tata group growtih was recorded and also improvement was witnessed in sectors like steel automobile and IT.
Not only did it alter the conglomerate’s vision, but his vision was one that enriched the conglomerate’s values, giving back to society and promoting corporate social responsibility. Many have cried their eyes out when they received the news of his demise within the business fraternity and all over. The industrialist, Harsh Goenka too twitted his condolence by saying, “The clock has stopped ticking.” The Titan passes away. Ratan Tata, a leader of great character, ethical and philanthropic, has left a lifetime legacy that transcends business.
The world is sharing tributes as we saw that Ratan Tata’s impacts will be long-lasting and enduring for several generations. His contributions both in industrial and social development will for ever be a reference in the hall of fame. Many of us learned about the passing of a great visionary, however, his core values of integrity and compassion will live on.
