National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination (I4C) Center. This announcement was made by the Cyber Dost division of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Rashmika also shared a special video on social media discussing her experience with deep fakes.
“A few months ago, my deep fake video went viral. That was cyber crime. After that bitter experience, I decided to fight against cyber crime and wanted to raise awareness about it. Today, I am happy to share that I am the brand ambassador for the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center. This division operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Cyber criminals are always ready to target us. We need to be alert and protect ourselves from them, as well as prevent such crimes from happening. As the brand ambassador for the Cyber Crime Coordination Center, I will work to raise awareness about these crimes and do my part to protect our country from cyber offenses,” she said.
Rashmika’s deep fake video caused a stir a while ago when social media influencer Zara Patel’s video was edited to include Rashmika’s face, making it inappropriate and going viral online. Many expressed their anger over the issue, and Rashmika voiced her distress, stating that technology can be frightening.
