IAS officer Rani Kumudini has officially taken charge as the Telangana State Election Commissioner. Appointed by the state government, Kumudini assumed office today at the State Election Commission headquarters in Masab Tank. A 1988-batch IAS officer, she has held various key roles in both the central and state administrations over her extensive career.
Kumudini retired from active service in July this year. Following her retirement, the Telangana government issued an order appointing her as the State Election Commissioner two days ago. She will serve in this position for a three-year term.
