The controversy surrounding betting apps in the Telugu states continues to escalate, with Telangana police intensifying their crackdown on individuals promoting these platforms. Authorities have already registered cases against 11 celebrities and social media influencers, with investigations currently underway.
In a latest development, Miyapur police have booked 25 more celebrities based on a complaint filed by Pradeep Sharma. Among those named in the case are Tollywood actors Daggubati Rana and Vijay Deverakonda, along with several actors and YouTubers.
Prominent personalities facing legal action include Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Pranitha, Sreemukhi, Ritu Chowdhary, Anchor Shyamala, Neethu Agarwal, Vishnupriya, Varshini, Ananya Nagalla, Siri Hanumanthu, Vasanthi Krishnan, Shobha Shetty, Amrutha Chowdhary, Nayani Pavani, Neha Pathan, Padmavathi, Pandu, Imran Khan, Harsha Sai, Bayya Sunny Yadav, Tasty Teja, and Bandaru Supreetha.
As part of the investigation, Tasty Teja appeared before Panjagutta police on Tuesday, while anchor Vishnupriya attended questioning on Thursday. Meanwhile, reports suggest that YouTubers Harsha Sai and Pareshan Boys’ Imran have fled to Dubai fearing arrest.
