Ramayana Teaser: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash Set the Stage for an Epic Saga

The wait has finally come to an end as Namit Malhotra’s ambitious Ramayana, directed by master filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, has finally released its first teaser — and it’s nothing short of magical. Under three minutes in length, this teaser doesn’t just go back to the ancient epic — it audaciously reimagines it for today’s generation.

In this grander retelling of the story, Ranbir Kapoor walks the divine path of Lord Ram, charismatic, strong, and calm resolve, while Yash’s juxtaposition is voluminous as he becomes the mighty Ravana, adding grandeur and depth to the character unlike ever before.

But apart from the strong casting, what makes this movie stand out is its jaw-dropping production quality. With spearheading the visual effects, each frame feels cinematic and magnificent. Punctuating the visuals is a spine-tingling musical score composed by the master AR Rahman and international music composer Hans Zimmer — a uncommon collaboration that imbues emotional resonance and international appeal.

Scheduled to arrive in two parts — Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027 — this Ramayana adaptation is already becoming one of the most buzzed-about Indian films of the decade. The teaser itself has created humongous buzz throughout social media and cinema circles, with the audience already terming it as a potential game-changer when it comes to Indian mythological films.

With its A-list cast, top-of-the-line visuals, and global themes, Ramayana is set to balance tradition and technology, narration and spectacle — paving the way for what may be a new standard in Indian cinema.
