The intense first glimpse of Ram Charan’s highly anticipated movie Peddi has been released, and it’s making huge waves on social media. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who created a sensation with Uppena, this new rural sports action drama is all set to take audiences through a thrilling and emotionally charged ride.
The teaser, released on the moment of Sri Rama Navami, is fired up in earnest. Ram Charan appears for the first time in a manner never seen before—running rampant through wide-open paddy lands, a cricket bat resting so casually on his shoulder, a beedi protruding from the corner of his mouth. A fiery aura seems to surround the screen, as with a masterful swipe he sends the ball soaring—inaugurating the entry of a mass hero unlike any before.
Charan’s rough makeover—complete with unkempt hair, a bushy beard, and a nose ring—is just the right representation of the raw and earthy nature of his character. The visuals possess a strong emotional undertone, focusing on the grit and tenacity of a man who is conventional at heart but action-packed.
A.R. Rahman weaves magic into the visuals with his strong background score, which brings depth, soul, and a larger-than-life feel to the teaser.
The movie also has a star-studded ensemble cast. Janhvi Kapoor features in the lead role, alongside legendary actor Shiva Rajkumar, versatile actor Jagapathi Babu, and the ever-influential Divyenndu Sharma of Mirzapur fame.
