Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India will cross any border if necessary for the unity, integrity, security and safety of its citizens. He recalled that India has demonstrated its power capabilities through the surgical strike in 2016, the Balakot airstrikes in 2019 and the recent Operation Sindoor.
Rajnath Singh was speaking at the inauguration of the three-day ‘JITO Connect 2025’ organized by the Hyderabad chapter of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) at Hitex and HICCs on Friday along with Union Minister Kishan Reddy and State IT Industries Minister Sridhar Babu.
Stating that many innocent people were brutally killed by terrorists in Pahalgam knowing their religion, the Defense Minister clarified that India’s Operation Sindoor was carried out to eliminate terrorists against Pakistan. He said that the attacks on terrorist camps in Pakistan were carried out in retaliation for the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack, and not on the Pakistani military or ordinary citizens.
Rajnath Singh said that the central government’s focus on increasing military and economic power is not for dominance, but to protect the ideals embodied in the teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir. After eleven years of the NDA government in the country, he said that the country’s defense exports have increased from Rs. 600 crore to Rs. 24,000 crore now.
The Defence Minister revealed that these exports will reach Rs. 50,000 crore by 2029 and India has reduced the consumption of foreign defense products by focusing on its own defense products. As part of this, Rajnath Singh revealed that the central government has already signed an agreement to assemble 97 light combat aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
He revealed that with the slogan given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Local for Global’ and ‘Ocal for Local’, the country is now assembling a wide range of defense equipment from toys to battle tanks.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that Telangana has become a role model for other states in the country as a beacon of ‘value-based growth’. He urged industrialists to come forward to invest in Telangana, which is highly conducive to industrial development.
Highlighting the transformation in investment outlook, Sridhar Babu observed that industrialists today are increasingly guided by the ethical, inclusive, and sustainable dimensions of growth, rather than mere incentives or subsidies.
“Telangana is not waiting for the future — it is building the future,” he said, adding that the State has become a treasure trove of opportunities with a strong policy framework, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly governance.
