Rajamouli receives immense love in Japan ahead of the RRR screening

SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR premiered in Japan on March 18. Tickets for this special screening were swiftly snapped up within minutes of advance sales commencing. Rajamouli himself graced the event and interacted with fans.
RRR, helmed by visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli, whose name is synonymous with cinematic excellence. 

The film was released in March 2022. It’s been nearly a year and a half since its release in Japanese theaters, yet the film continues to captivate audiences.

The standout moments of this screening included fans enthusiastically whistling and applauding the filmmaker’s brilliance alongside the stellar performances driven by actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. The infectious beat of ‘Naatu Naatu’ ignited fans to dance.

Rajamouli received a lot of love and admiration from fans all around Japan for RRR. Fans showed appreciation for Rajamouli’s work and made heartfelt gifts for him and his team.

Rajamouli took to his social media to showcase a heartwarming moment from her 83-year-old admirer and tweeted: “In Japan, they make origami cranes & gift them to their loved ones for good luck& health. This 83yr old woman made 1000 of them to bless us because RRR made her happy. She just sent the gift and was waiting outside in the cold. Some gestures can never be repaid. Just grateful”.

Regarding Rajamouli’s forthcoming projects, the esteemed director is presently collaborating with superstar Mahesh Babu on an exhilarating globe-trotting adventure thriller.
