R. Narayana Murthy Hails CM Revanth Reddy’s Stand Against Ticket Price Hike

Senior actor R. Narayana Murthy has voiced strong opposition to the proposed hike in cinema ticket prices and praised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his firm stance on the issue. Speaking to the media on Saturday, he commended the chief minister for clearly stating in the Assembly that he would not permit ticket price hikes or midnight shows. “I salute CM Revanth Reddy for his clarity on this matter and request him to stand firm on his decision,” he said.

Highlighting the impact of rising ticket costs on audiences, Narayana Murthy said that cinema remains the only affordable form of entertainment for the common man. “If ticket prices are increased, people will be deprived of this entertainment. While such hikes may benefit big-budget films, they are causing severe losses to small filmmakers. I appeal to the government not to raise ticket prices,” he added.
