Indian badminton superstar PV Sindhu, who became the first Indian woman to win medals in two consecutive Olympics, is all set to celebrate another milestone in her life. The ace shuttler is getting married to Hyderabad-based businessman Venkata Datta Sai on December 22, 2024. The royal city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, will play host to the marriage ceremony. A grand reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24.
The celebrations would start on December 20, with traditional pre-wedding ceremonies. PV Ramana, the father of PV Sindhu, also said that both families share a close bond and had been close friends over all these years. So naturally, this union is inevitable. The date was planned in such a way, keeping in mind Sindhu’s busy schedule, as it gets even busier from January.
Posidex Technologies’s Executive Director, Venkata Datta Sai, has been her groom. What has otherwise been an exceptional year for Sindhu in terms of her win at the Syed Modi International Super 300 Tournament comes with this personal highlight-her engagement.
This happy news brings a new chapter in Sindhu’s life, and fans and well-wishers worldwide eagerly wait for the grand celebration of one of India’s most cherished sports icons.
