Renowned filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has offered a profound reflection on the nature of emotionally strong people, stating that those with inner strength do not cry loudly or seek sympathy when hurt. In his latest edition of Puri Musings, titled “Strong People”, the director explained that such individuals silently endure pain, refrain from complaints, and avoid confrontation. “They don’t seek explanations, don’t crave attention, and never retaliate. Instead, they walk away with dignity, carrying their sorrow in silence,” he observed.
Puri Jagannadh highlighted that although these individuals might distance themselves temporarily, they continue to treat others with kindness and maintain composure. “They think a hundred times before trusting, loving, or making new friends again. They do not waste energy on unnecessary people or situations. Despite being hurt, they remain compassionate and never let bitterness define them,” he said. Urging people to find strength in adversity, he added, “No matter what happens, believe it’s for your own good. Sit alone, embrace the silence, and heal. Every betrayal only makes you stronger.”
