Ace director Puri Jagannadh, known for his quick-paced narrative and dynamic filmmaking skills, is all set to launch his next major project after Double iSmart. And this time around, he’s collaborating with the phenomenally talented Vijay Sethupathi on a hard-hitting and emotionally charged drama.
As per the recent buzz, the project will go on floors in June. Adding to the excitement, seasoned actress Tabu has been roped in for a crucial role, which is expected to bring more depth to the story. What’s more interesting is Puri’s ambitious plan to wrap up the shoot in just 60 days. This decision aligns with Vijay Sethupathi’s tight schedule, as the actor was so drawn to the script that he cleared space in his packed calendar just for this film.
At present, the script is all but complete with dialogues having been finished off and pre-production in full momentum. The title of the venture is being termed as Beggar, given Vijay will portray the character of a beggar—a character laden with emotions and complexity.
The production team is in the process of deciding whether to build a realistic slum set in Hyderabad or Chennai, based on Vijay Sethupathi’s availability. If all logistics fall into place, the makers are aiming for a theatrical release by the end of this year.
With a unique storyline, powerful cast, and Puri’s signature pace, this untitled project promises to be one of the most intriguing releases of the year.
