Chandrababu Naidu Advocates Unity Between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed sentiments of fraternity between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, likening their division to that of brothers and sisters during a speech at NTR Bhavan on Sunday. Emphasizing unity despite bifurcation, he underscored the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) commitment to the mutual development of both states. Chandrababu Naidu acknowledged that separations bring initial challenges but urged for swift resolution of any issues arising from it.

Highlighting his proactive approach, Chandrababu Naidu mentioned initiating dialogue by writing a letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy upon assuming office. This step, he noted, marks a positive beginning towards fostering cooperation between the two states. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that despite any divisions, the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana share a common heritage and language, stressing the importance of joint progress while safeguarding Telugu interests. He pointed out the decrease in Andhra Pradesh’s representation in the Lok Sabha post-bifurcation and affirmed his commitment to advocating for the Telugu nation’s welfare above regional differences.

Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the necessity of constructive discussions to resolve issues, cautioning that unresolved conflicts could lead to further complications. He called for harmonious dialogue and mutual understanding to propel both states towards development, acknowledging the ideological differences between the Congress-led Telangana government and the NDA-led Andhra Pradesh government.
