Following the huge success of Hanu-Man, director Prashanth Varma had declared its long-awaited sequel, Jai Hanuman, with a release planned for 2025. The movie, which was to star Kannada actor Rishab Shetty in the lead, became a hot issue among film buffs in no time. But latest reports indicate that the project could be in for major delays.
Rishab Shetty is now completely occupied with his magnum opus, the Kantara prequel, and has very little space in his calendar to fit in with Jai Hanuman. Meanwhile, Prashanth Varma has also picked up several projects, such as writing and working with other directors, which has contributed to the uncertainty of the film’s timeline.
With the actor and director both busy, insiders in the industry are convinced that Jai Hanuman will not make it to the cinemas in 2025 or possibly even in 2026. Considering the size of production and the duration needed for post-production, most think that the film will only be available for viewing in 2027.
As the audience waits in anticipation for news, one question is burning in everyone’s minds—will Jai Hanuman go on production anytime soon, or will they have to wait even longer? Look out for updates on this eagerly awaited sequel.
