Pan-India superstar Prabhas is currently the busiest actor in the country right now. Despite doing back-to-back big-budget films with different directors, the Baahubali star is not taking much gap in between and making sure that he will have atleast one release every year without fail. His planning and execution is now a case study for other stars.
Irrespective of how his films are faring at the box office, Prabhas has been hopping between different projects at a time so that his producers won’t need to wait for his dates. His recent film Kalki stormed the worldwide box office with over 1000 Crores gross after its release on June 27th.
The first part of this mythological science fiction thriller directed by Nag Ashwin turned out to be a crowd-pleasing hit because of the ensemble cast and the spectacular visuals in the climax episode of the film. The first part ended in a cliffhanger, pushing the expectations on the second part to a new level.
As audiences hanker more for the second part of Kalki, the makers dropped on some sort of bad news for Prabhas fans. Reportedly, Kalki 2 will start rolling only in the first quarter of 2025. They aren’t sure of the exact date of start, but tentatively expecting to start resumption in January or February of 2025.
There are mammoth expectations on Kalki 2 and the team will need to sweat out to match the hype on the film. Like the first part, the second part of Kalki might take a minimum of three years for completion given the scale of the project and the vision of the director. So, in all probability, Kalki 2 will hit the screens in 2028.
Prabhas recently started shooting for Hanuman Raghavapudi’s new film. He has already completed the majority the shoot pertaining to The Raja Saab, his immediate next film. Moreover, he has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit on the horizon. Hence, he will need to juggle different projects to ensure completion of them in the next three years.
