Prabhas’ director turns Srimanthudu for his native village

Telugu director Nag Ashwin attained pan-India popularity with his recent blockbuster ‘Kalki 2898AD’, starring Prabhas in the lead role. He is now one of the fewest filmmakers in the country to have a movie the coveted 1000 Crores club. The way he blended science fiction elements and mythological characters to weave a Hollywood range action drama on the big screen received huge applause from all quarters.

Despite reaching dizzy heights as a director, Nag Ashwin seems to have not forgotten his roots. As per the latest reports, Nag Ashwin turned Srimanthudu for his native village in Telangana state. He donated 66 lakhs for construction of class rooms in Aithole village in Nagarkurnool district.

Nag Ashwin attended the opening ceremony of the renovated school building along with his parents. He promised to build a temple and take up more charitable activities in the village in the coming days. He assured to be a part of many development activities to transform the village and provide all basic amenities to the villagers.

On work front, Nag Ashwin will next direct the sequel to Kalki 2898AD. As the first part turned out to be a roaring box office hit, there are mammoth expectations on the second part. However, there is no clarity on when will the second part resume its shooting formalities as Prabhas is occupied with other commitments.
