Pooja Hegde, known for her glamour and beautiful presence, has been going through a tough time in her career. Despite her talent and popularity, Pooja has not been able to give a blockbuster film in the last few years. Her latest release in Telugu, Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, did not meet expectations, and Pooja now has few opportunities in the Telugu industry.
Seeking a breakthrough, Pooja recently featured in the special number “Monica” in Rajinikanth’s Coolie. The song created much buzz prior to its release, but the mixed bag reaction to the film soon turned the limelight into online trolling for the actress.
Although Pooja performed her level best on camera, audiences and critics felt that the picturization of the song was not doing justice to her acting. Although she appeared daring and glamorous, Shaubiin Sharir, an actor, stole the show with his dance steps, which attracted negative social media reviews. What was supposed to give a thrust to her popularity turned out to be a reverse force, with Pooja continuing her search for a big hit.
Meanwhile, the actress is also busy in a number of Bollywood ventures. But none of them are big-ticket movies currently which can so strongly dent or boost her career. Everybody’s eyes are now on her work in Vijay’s 63rd film, Jana Nayagan, being directed by H. Vinod. The venture holds tremendous significance, as Vijay has already declared it will be his last film, so the stakes for all concerned have risen. Bollywood star Bobby Deol will play the villain’s role, and the movie is destined for a majestic Sankranti 2026 release. The movie is awaited eagerly by the fans, hoping to wish good luck to both Vijay and Pooja.
With Jana Nayagan, Pooja Hegde can reverse fortunes in her career and get back to being one of the leading actresses of Tollywood.
