Amid rising concerns over the suspicious deaths of witnesses in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, the Kadapa police have intensified security for Dastagiri, who turned approver in the case. Acting on his request, Kadapa SP Ashok Kumar issued orders to upgrade his security from 1+1 to 2+2 protection.
Dastagiri approached the Kadapa SP office, expressing fear for his life following the mysterious deaths of key witnesses. In his petition, he alleged that Dr. Chaitanya Reddy had threatened him while he was lodged in Kadapa jail. Citing the potential threat, he urged the police to provide enhanced security.
