Polavaram Visit : All Eyes On Naidu’s Press Meet

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is going to make his first official visit to a district today after he took charge of the new dispensation last week. As he did during the first three years during 2014-19, he will visit Polavaram on every Monday to review the progress of the project and ensure its completion on war footing basis.

Naidu will land in Polavaram on a special flight from Undavalli in the afternoon and inspect the project works till evening. He will meet all officers and engineers who are working on this project to review the present status to form on idea on how to speed up the pending works. After the review meeting, Naidu will address a press conference and announce about the progress done during the last five years and how Jagan’s government misused funds in the name of reverse tendering.

All eyes are on Naidu’s press meet because Polavaram is a lifeline for irrigation and agriculture in Andhra Pradesh and completing it would mark a significant chapter in the history of our state. Hence, the present government is determined to complete the project by the end of this tenure. In the combined manifesto of NDA alliance, completion of Polavaram project is one of the key promises made by all three parties.

Hence, Naidu is expected to accord top priority to complete Polavaram with the help of the central government. He is likely to announce the deadline for completion of this project during this press meet.
