Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned that India has merely suspended retaliatory actions against Pakistan’s terrorist and military targets for now, and said that Pakistan’s military was compelled to contact India’s DGMO following the retaliation.
Addressing the nation Monday night for the first time after the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, He said that India had drawn new red lines on terror emanating from Pakistan and underlined that India had just suspended Operation Sindoor because Pakistan rushed to the world after suffering damage and that it would closely watch the activities of Pakistan.
PM Modi asserted that India will not tolerate any “nuclear blackmail”, and said that operations against Pakistan have only been kept in abeyance and the future will depend on their behaviour. In a strong warning against Pakistan, PM Modi said, “Terror and talks can’t go hand in hand, terror and trade can’t go hand in hand, water and blood can’t flow together.”
PM Modi warned that we will not differentiate between the government sponsoring terrorism and the masterminds of terrorism. He said that during Operation Sindoor the world has again seen the ugly face of Pakistan, when top Pakistani army officers came to bid farewell to the slain terrorists. “This is strong evidence of state-sponsored terrorism. We will continue to take decisive steps to protect India and our citizens from any threat”, he said.
Declaring his firm stand, PM Modi said talks with Pakistan can only happen on terror and return of PoK and nothing else. Hitting out at Pakistan, Modi said, “We will take decisive action against terrorist bases operating under the guise of such threats. There will be no distinction between government-sponsored terrorism and terrorist organizations”.
He said that the world witnessed the grim reality of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, when top officials of the Pakistani military openly stood in solidarity with terrorists. This stands as the strongest evidence of state-sponsored terrorism, he added. Modi saluted the Indian Armed Forces and The Indian Armed Forces intelligence and scientists for carrying out Operation Sindoor.
PM Modi said that Pakistan targeted our military base, but in this act Pakistan itself got exposed. “The world saw how Pakistan’s drones and missiles fell like straws in front of India. India’s strong air defense system destroyed them in the sky itself. Pakistan had prepared for an attack on the border, but India struck at the heart of Pakistan”, he said.
“India’s drones and missiles attacked with precision. They damaged those airbases of the Pakistani Air Forces, of which Pakistan was very proud. India caused heavy damage to Pakistan in the first three days itself, which it had never imagined”, he added.
