PM Modi to lay foundation stone for Rs 1 lakh worth works in Amaravati on May 2

Municipal Administration Minister Dr, P. Narayana said  that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for works worth Rs 1 lakh crore in the capital Amaravati on May 2. The minister revealed that various works in the capital are going to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. He said that various issues have been discussed in the Committee of Ministers on the arrangements in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.

He revealed that all the officials have already been assigned different responsibilities such as tours, helipads, public meetings, road shows, cultural programs, and inauguration ceremonies. The Committee of Ministers revealed that the construction works will start from the day after the Prime Minister formally launch them.

The committee has directed officials that arrangements be made to make Modi’s visit a success. It also called for the leaders of the coalition parties and the people to come in large numbers. The Committee of Ministers met with officials at the Water Resources Department camp office in Vijayawada on the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit to Amaravati.

The meeting was attended by Ministers Narayana, Payyavula Keshav, Nadendla Manohar, Chief Secretary Vijayanand, CRDA, officials of the respective departments, the management committee already formed with senior IAS and IPS officers, and other police officers.

The committee, which had ordered to expedite the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit on May 2, made it clear that the work should be completed on a war footing. The ministers discussed the arrangements for the huge public meeting, helipads, roads leading to the meeting, and coordination in the road show.

The committee of ministers said that about 5 lakh people will come to the meeting and that they are making huge arrangements accordingly. Minister Payyavula Keshav said that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate works worth lakh crores from the Amaravati reconstruction site and clarified that everyone who wants the state’s development is invited to the meeting.
