Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (November 4) exuded confidence over the BJP-led NDA’s victory in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections. Addressing a public rally in Jharkhand’s Chaibasa, PM Modi said, “I am certain that the BJP-NDA will form the government with more seats than any time in history.”
PM Modi said, “For better facilities in Jharkhand, for farmers, for strengthening industries in the state, the Central government has made all efforts even when the JMM government put obstacles before it. When you form a double engine- govt here, then development in the state will also take place at double the pace.”
“A lot of focus has been put on the state’s infrastructure. Work to make road connectivity and rail connectivity stronger is underway in Jharkhand. Gas pipelines of Jagadishpur, Haldia, and Bokaro are providing cheaper gas to the people of the state. The Central government is making all efforts to strengthen Jharkhand. That too at a time when the state’s JMM government is trying everything to stop Jharkhand’s development,” he said.
Jharkhand’s elections are being conducted at a time when the entire country is moving forward with the resolve of becoming a developed country by the 100th Independence Day, he said.
Jharkhand will vote in two phases on November 13 and November 20. The counting of votes will be held on November 23. The prime minister will address the election rallies in Chaibasa and Garhwa today.
“Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive at Gaya airport in Bihar around 11 am and fly to Garhwa via helicopter to address a rally there,” a senior BJP leader said on Sunday.
Speaking on the preparation for PM Modi’s rallies, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is also the election-in-charge of Jharkhand, said that all arrangements have been made for the PM’s visit.
