Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday enquired about the health condition of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s younger son, Mark Shankar, who was injured in a recent fire accident at a school in Singapore.
Sources confirmed that the Prime Minister called Pawan Kalyan—who is currently on a tour of Visakhapatnam—and expressed concern over the incident. He is said to have wished the child a speedy recovery and offered words of reassurance to the actor-turned-politician.
Mark Shankar, who is studying in Singapore, sustained burn injuries to his hands and legs and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The incident has sparked an outpouring of concern from across political and film circles.
Pawan Kalyan is expected to depart for Singapore following the conclusion of his visit to Visakhapatnam. Actor Chiranjeevi and his wife are also reportedly flying to Singapore to be with the family.
Leaders including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy have extended their wishes for the boy’s recovery. Several public figures and well-wishers have shared supportive messages on social media.
