Plane Crash In South Korea Claims 62 Lives; Death Toll Expected To Rise

Muan, South Korea: A devastating plane crash occurred at Muan Airport on Friday when flight 7C2216 lost control during landing and collided with a protective wall on the runway. The impact triggered a massive fire, leading to an explosion of the aircraft.

According to local authorities, 62 fatalities have been confirmed so far, with rescue operations continuing at the crash site.

The ill-fated flight, en route from Bangkok to Muan, had 181 people on board, including 175 passengers and six crew members. Authorities fear the death toll may increase as efforts to recover victims and assess damages are underway.

Further investigations are being conducted to determine the cause of the crash.
