After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made serious allegations about the use of adulterated ghee in the preparation of Tirupati laddu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has frequently voiced his stance on Sanatana Dharma. Today, during a meeting in Tirupati, Pawan released the “Varahi Declaration,” which addresses the protection of Sanatana Dharma. This declaration consists of a total of seven points:
1. Secular Approach: A secular approach should be maintained to respond uniformly to any harm caused to any religion or faith.
2. Strong Legislation: There is a need for a strong law that will be implemented nationwide to prevent actions that undermine the beliefs associated with the protection of Sanatana Dharma. Such a law should be brought in immediately.
3. Establishment of Boards: National and state-level boards for the protection of Sanatana Dharma should be established to ensure the effective implementation of laws introduced for its protection.
4. Annual Funding: Funds should be allocated each year for the protection of Sanatana Dharma.
5. Denial of Support: Individuals and systems that demean Sanatana Dharma and spread hatred should be denied support.
6.Purity Assurance: A system should be implemented to verify the purity of items used in daily offerings and prasadam in temples.
7. Development of Temples: Temples should evolve not only as spiritual centers but also as educational, artistic, economic, environmental conservation, and welfare centers. A comprehensive plan should be prepared in this direction.
