Pawan Kalyan says Rural people should Be provided Uninterrupted Panchayat services

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made it clear to the Panchayat Raj officials that the rural people should be provided with uninterrupted Panchayat services and for this, the problem of shortage of staff should be overcome. He ordered changes to be made in the cluster policy of village Panchayats under the Panchayat Raj department and new guidelines should be formulated.

He suggested that the cluster grade division policy of Panchayats, which was previously based only on the income of the Panchayats, should be divided based on the population as well. He wanted that services in village Panchayats should be provided to the people continuously without any fluctuations in the appointment of staff.

Pawan Kalyan reviewed the division of cluster grades of village Panchayats with senior officials. Principal Secretary Shashibhushan Kumar, Commissioner Krishna Teja and other senior officials participated in this meeting.

The review highlighted the difficulties arising in the recruitment of staff due to the old cluster system, where the population of high-income Panchayats is low and the population of low-income Panchayats is high. The Gram Panchayat and Secretariat staff coordinated and discussed the recruitment of staff under the new cluster grade division system.

By doing this, there will be enough staff for the creation of infrastructure, implementation of welfare schemes, management of government programs, as well as the primary responsibility of Gram Panchayats, such as drinking water supply, maintenance of street lights, construction of internal roads, and improvement of sanitation.

The Deputy Chief Minister decided to form a committee to study these and make necessary recommendations to facilitate administration in Panchayats. This committee will make recommendations to the government on the division of new clusters and allocation of grades. A committee of four senior officials will be formed from the Panchayat Raj Department.

The state committee will report the cluster grades of the panchayats to the government after examining the reports submitted by the district collectors based on the income and population of the panchayats in the 26 districts on a district unit basis.
