Pawan Kalyan Made It clear Amaravati Is The only permanent capital of AP

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made it clear that Amaravati will be the only and permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said that it will not be just a complex of concrete structures, but will be a symbol of democracy, accountability and justice. Praising the sacrifices of the farmers who gave their lands for the capital, he recalled the difficulties they faced during the previous government.

He assured that with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Chandrababu Naidu, Amaravati will be made a world-class capital. He expressed confidence that Amaravati will become a center of employment opportunities without the need for the youth to migrate to other cities for jobs.

Pawan expressed his grief that the farmers of the capital have suffered severely in the last five years.  He was angry that while more than 29,000 farmers sacrificed more than 34,000 acres of land, the previous government had insulted their sacrifices.

He recalled that the farmers had to come out on the roads and protest between barbed wire fences, were beaten with lathi and faced cases. He expressed regret that many farmers lost their lives in this process.

Pawan Kalyan said that he would bring the difficulties faced by the farmers to the attention of the Prime Minister and that he had promised that Amaravati would be the capital, and today he is keeping that promise.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan expressed deep concern over the recent incidents in the Bay of Bengal in which 24 fishermen from Tamil Nadu were harassed by Sri Lankan authorities. He said that it is sad that the fishermen of Nagapattinam district were injured.

He said that India and Sri Lanka have friendly relations and hoped that such incidents, which are recurring frequently, should be resolved amicably. He asked the Ministry of External Affairs to intervene immediately in this matter.

Pawan Kalyan appealed to the governments of both countries to hold constructive talks and ensure that the safety and dignity of the fishermen are not violated.
