Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has initiated a unique public interactive program of speaking with villagers, hearing their problems and issuing spot directions to the officials, by sitting at his camp office in Mangalagiri, through a live broadcast using film screen. The programme was named as `Mata Manthi’.
First such public awareness program was held in Ravivalasa village, in Tekkali mandal of Srikakulam district. Pawan Kalyan thought of using local cinema theaters to directly talk to the rural people for this program. As part of this, he spoke to the villagers of Ravivalasa at Bhavani Theater in Tekkali, which is close to the villagers.
After giving a patient hearing to the concerns of the villages, Pawan Kalyan promised to develop the Ravivalasa road with Rs. 3 crore. Minister Atchannaidu also participated and addressed villagers through video conference while going to Amalapuram in the same program. Pawan Kalyan has paid special attention to rural development through public-private-panchayat-partnership. Pawan is planning to talk to the villagers of 175 constituencies in a similar manner.
In the first phase, it has been decided to hold a video conference with the people of some villages in the state. They are discussing the development of drinking water, hospitals, education and infrastructure in the village.
