One question that has been lingering on the top of everyone’s mind from the past few days is ‘Why Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’ disappeared from the scene when Vijayawada has been reeling under floods due to incessant rains. The unexpected inundation wreaked a havoc in some parts of the capital city and left many stranded.
While CM Chandrababu Naidu is spending sleepless nights and putting on intense efforts to bring back normalcy, surprisingly Janasena supremo Pawan Kalyan didn’t take part in any rescue operations nor did he addressed the media to assure the victims on the behalf of the government. This has given an opportunity for the opponents to raise doubts about his availability in India during the crisis.
Amid rumours and speculations, Pawan Kalyan finally appeared before the media on Tuesday evening and revealed the reasons for his absence. Pawan Kalyan said he preferred not to come out in public only to avoid unnecessary gathering which will impact the ongoing rescue operations. He said ” If I visit the flood-hit areas, many of my fans will gather around me and create further chaos during the ongoing dire situations. So, I didn’t come out and confined myself to indoors”, he added.
Pawan also said he knows that some may blame him from not coming out during the desperate and needy times, but serving the people is more important than criticism. He announced 1 Crore donation to the Andhra Pradesh CM’s relief fund for the victims and said he will hand over the cheque on Wednesday.
Though Pawan Kalyan’s excuse appeared a bit strange, it is reasonable to believe that his attendance wouldn’t make much difference at the ground level as Chandrababu Naidu is leading a tremendous rescue operation with his experience.
