Pawan Kalyan made a declaration that he will extend the Jana Sena Party to Tamil Nadu with the aim of making it more powerful than in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During an interview recently, where he spoke wholly in Tamil, Pawan showed his command of the language and responded to major political questions like the current controversy over Hindi imposition and his much-criticized comments on the day of the Pithapuram Foundation Day meeting.
Clarifying his position, Pawan strongly opposed imposing any language forcibly, including Hindi. He clarified that he had learned to speak Tamil and Hindi out of personal interest and not compulsion. Pointing towards a larger view, he wondered why Indians accept English, a language imposed during British times, easily but oppose Hindi, an Indian language. He also faulted some leaders for opposing Hindi in public while employing the language in their speeches.
With regard to Lok Sabha delimitation, Pawan insisted that decreasing the representation of a state is not acceptable. He was sure that reorganization in the future would not lower any state’s representation in Parliament. His words were a testament to his devotion to preserving regional interests and resolving national issues.
While talking about Tamil Nadu politics, Pawan noted that the BJP has scope for development in the state, adding that politics is all about possibilities. He said that if the people of Tamil Nadu give their support, the Jana Sena Party is prepared to enter politics there. He also noted that Jana Sena already has a base outside Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, adding that a lot of people in Tamil Nadu follow his speeches closely.
Talking about his career in movies, Pawan explained that he would keep performing as long as it is necessary for financial needs. This is a sign that he will simultaneously pursue both political obligations and movie career, given his commitment to both areas of work.
