Pawan Kalyan Expresses Support For BJP-AIADMK Alliance, Anticipates Positive Changes In Tamil Nadu

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan welcomed the new BJP-AIADMK alliance in Tamil Nadu. In a statement issued from the Jana Sena Party office in Mangalagiri, Guntur district, Pawan welcomed the alliance and said it would bring good changes and improved administration to the people of Tamil Nadu. He supported the BJP attempt to enhance the administration of the state and had hopes that people would welcome the reforms introduced through this coalition.

Pawan also emphasized that the BJP-AIADMK coalition has been able to earn the confidence of the people of Tamil Nadu. He particularly welcomed the selection of Palaniswami as the Chief Minister candidate, terming it as a decision which reflects seasoned and effective leadership. According to Pawan, this coalition can usher in mass development, especially in those areas that have always been struggling. He stated that the NDA-governed states had flourished when it came to development and good governance, and Tamil Nadu also, he believes, will benefit with positive returns under the same coalition.

Since Tamil Nadu assembly polls next year, Pawan made sure that the current political partnership was an indispensable guarantee to secure victory in the upcoming AIADMK general election. Further, Pawan noted that this was used as an instrument for strengthening BJP’s base in the region of south India with forthcoming polls promising increased support from the party within southern India.

Also, Pawan appreciated the promptness with which senior BJP leaders, such as Home Minister Amit Shah and RSS leader Guru Murthy, sealed the alliance, demonstrating their seriousness towards the alliance.

The BJP, which has become the preeminent national party, has said it will function under AIADMK’s leadership in Tamil Nadu, a decision that caught most political pundits by surprise. The party is setting up a huge outreach campaign to take on the DMK-run government, allied with Congress and other regional parties. Pawan Kalyan’s utterances, along with the BJP’s initial strategic moves, indicate that there is a carefully thought-out strategy to go against the DMK’s reign in the state. This advance move indicates that the BJP intends to make its presence felt considerably in Tamil Nadu’s next election.
