Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan lauded the NTR Trust for its dedicated service without publicity and expressed hope that it would continue its initiatives for the next hundred years. He made these remarks while addressing the Euphoria Musical Night event at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.
Highlighting the contributions of Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Pawan Kalyan stated, “I hold immense respect for Nara Bhuvaneshwari Garu. Her unwavering determination through challenges is commendable. It is heartening to see her leading an initiative for thalassemia patients under the NTR Trust.”
He also praised Nandamuri Balakrishna, noting his influence across generations. “Balakrishna Garu insists that I call him ‘Balayya,’ but I feel compelled to address him as ‘Sir.’ He is a determined individual who excels not only in cinema but also in philanthropy. Recognizing his contributions, the Government of India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, honored him with the Padma Bhushan,” he added.
Discussing the trust’s services, Pawan Kalyan emphasized its role in providing medical assistance without seeking recognition. “The NTR Trust has been serving people for 28 years, offering medical aid, including treatments by foreign doctors. Though NTR is no longer with us, his legacy continues through this trust,” he said.
Acknowledging Chief Minister Chandrababu’s support for humanitarian efforts, he remarked, “Whenever I write to CM Chandrababu Garu’s office requesting aid for those in need, the response is always prompt. While some attempt to weaken such institutions, Chandrababu Garu has ensured the trust remains strong.”
He further commended the organizers of Euphoria Musical Night for integrating philanthropy with entertainment and extended special appreciation to composer Thaman.
Announcing a personal contribution, Pawan Kalyan stated, “As my contribution to this cause, I am donating ₹50 lakh to the NTR Trust for thalassemia patients. My sincere gratitude to everyone supporting this initiative.”
