Parent-teacher meetings, which are normally confined to private schools, are also going to be held in government schools across Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. In Bapatla Municipal High School, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh will review the progress reports of the students and interact with the parents. They will also have lunch together in the school.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will participate in the program organized at Kadapa Municipal High School. This is the first time that a meeting of this level is being held in the thousands of schools on a particular day, in the country. They will also listen to the suggestions and advice of the parents and alumni.
This program will be held in 45,094 government and aided schools across the state. 35,84,621 students, 71,60,000 parents, 1,88,266 teachers and more than 58,000 public representatives will attend these meetings.
The alumni of Bapatla School, established in 1901, have also been invited to this meeting with the Chief Minister. Lokesh thanked the school management committee for inviting them to the parent-teacher meeting. He said that he is eagerly waiting to participate in the Mega PTM. He said that these digital invitations are an example of revolutionary changes in the education department.
Eluru District Collector Vetriselvi explained that this meeting will contribute to the development of government schools by improving the level of educational standards and providing quality education. She said that this mega parents-teachers meeting is the right platform for parents and teachers to discuss.
Meanwhile, Eagle chief A.K. Ravi Krishna said that the ill effects and problems caused by the use of drugs will also be explained throughout the state at the parents’ meetings. ‘No to drugs, bro’ posters will be unveiled at these meetings. Ravi Krishna will participate in Kappatralla village in Kurnool district and unveil the posters there.
