Anupama Parameswaran takes the lead role in “Paradha,” directed by Cinema Bandi fame Praveen Kandregula. Joining her are renowned Kannada actress Darshana Rajendran and actress Sangitha in pivotal roles. Touted to be a female-centric social drama, the film’s earlier released concept video garnered a positive response and created significant interest with its intriguing plot.
Heightening anticipation, Dulquer Salmaan unveiled the teaser of Paradha today. It introduces Anupama Parameswaran as Subbu, who travels a long distance and pays a large amount of Rs. 70 lakhs to end her life. Anupama was accompanied by Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha in this journey. Subbu maintains silence even as Darshana playfully teases her.
The teaser takes an adventurous turn as the trio becomes the target of a chase adventure. As the teaser progresses, it hints with a voiceover that the villagers will go to any extent to protect the village. It reveals that the village follows ancient practices and superstitions like women covering their faces and harrowing rituals like Sati.
The teaser concludes with Subbu’s face revealed and quickly covered with a paradha, sparking curiosity about her motivations, the villager’s actions, and the mysteries of the plot. Paradha promises a fresh cinematic experience and is set to release in theaters in 2025.
Gopi Sundar composed the engaging background music, adding another layer to the cinematic experience. The film is backed by Vijay Dondaka, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva under Ananda Media.
