Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s starrer ‘Jigra’ is all set to premiere on OTT. The popular streaming platform Netflix has announced this exciting announcement on their social media, revealing that the film will be releasing tomorrow on December 6.
Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is an action-packed thriller that features Alia Bhatt as a sister, with a troubled past, who tries to rescue her brother, Vedang Raina, from a foreign prison. The film was originally released in theaters with high expectations on October 10, 2024. However, it didn’t make a successful run at the box office and became a huge disappointment.
Following one month of its original release, it is finally making its OTT debut on Netflix this December 6. Netflix shared this news on social media with a poster featuring Alia Bhatt, with the caption, “Phoolon aur taaron ne kaha hai, ulti gitni shuru karlo. Jigra is arriving tomorrow on Netflix.”
Produced by Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Apoorva Mehta, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine, the film has a stellar cast, including Vedang Raina, Manoj Pahwa, Rahul Ravindran, Vivek Gomber, and others in significant roles. Achint Thakkar and Manpreet Singh composed the musical score for this film.
Jigra sparked controversies following the renowned actor Divya Koshla’s comments on the film. The actress alleged similarities between Jigra and her movie Savi, where she plays a wife battling all odds to get her husband from the London prison.
