Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made sensational remarks, saying that there was once a Donald Trump in Telangana and that people decisively defeated him and confined him to a farmhouse because they did not approve of his governance. He indirectly criticized former CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao while speaking at the ‘Business Standard Annual Forum’ in Delhi on Friday, strongly criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies.
Reddy stated, “The antics of people like Trump do not last long. They implement at noon what they dreamed at night. Trump one day calls PM Modi his friend, and the next day threatens to impose 50% retaliatory tariffs on India.” He added that in the future, if visas are not granted to Indians, it would be the U.S. that would incur losses.
On Telangana’s development, CM Revanth Reddy said his government has a clear roadmap. As part of plans to make Hyderabad pollution-free, 3,000 new electric buses will soon be introduced, while existing non-electric buses will be fully shifted to rural areas. He noted that Telangana currently ranks first in the country in electric vehicle sales.
He further mentioned proposals for a bullet train between Hyderabad and Bengaluru and the construction of a Regional Ring Road linked to the Outer Ring Road. Reddy also highlighted the effective functioning of the state’s ‘Eagle Squad’ to eliminate drugs, noting that Telangana secured the number one rank in the recently released national police performance rankings.
