Putting an end to the ongoing speculations about postponement, the makers of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rule, a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster crime drama Pushpa, have officially announced December 6th 2024 as the new release date. A new poster featuring Allu Arjun in a ferocious avatar, brandishing a sword with an intense gaze has been unveiled by the team to make this news official.
The film, a Sukumar directional, was initially supposed to hit the screens on August 15th this year. However, the latest update reveals the release date has been pushed ahead due to the delay in the shooting formalities.
As per reliable reports, there is still another 50 days of shooting left. Owing to the pending shoot and other production delays, Allu Arjun and Sukumar have decided to defer the release date so as to make sure that the team won’t need to rush for completion and thereby compromise on the output.
There are massive expectations surrounding the sequel because the first part emerged as a runaway blockbuster in all territories across the country.
Pushpa 2 is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited film of the year. A lot of money is also riding on the project. So, the production house wants to make sure that the final output matches the hype and hysteria in audience. The teasers and songs that have been unveiled so far received a tremendous response and augmented the buzz on the film.
Trade circles believe that the openings are going to be humongous and the film has the potential to breach the 1000 crore mark in its full run. Coincidentally, the sequel will also release during the same month as the first part.
Pushpa 2 retained the principal cast and crew from the first part. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead and Fahadh Faasil is the prime antagonist in the film. Devi Sri Prasad is rendering the soundtrack.
Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film on a grand scale.
