Director Farhan Akhtar had initially announced Kiara Advani and Ranveer Singh as the main leads for the third installment in the Don franchise. However, Kiara’s recent pregnancy announcement has led to her exit from this project, sparking rumors about her possible replacements.
Early reports suggested that the Munjya actress Sharvari Wagh was being considered for the part. However, new reports now hint at a surprising shift that National Award-winning actress Kriti Sanon may be stepping in as the female lead.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Kriti Sanon has reportedly been confirmed for the role. A source stated, “Farhan Akhtar and the Excel Entertainment team wanted an experienced actress with a strong screen presence for the role in Don 3. Kriti Sanon has perfectly fit in the role, and she has the aura to play Roma on screen and is excited to sign the dotted lines soon.”
However, an official confirmation from the team has yet to be made. Meanwhile, the film was originally announced in August 2023 and has constantly been pushed further with several delays. The production is now expected to begin later this year. Fans are eagerly awaiting the updates.
