Even after over three weeks of the new government headed by N Chandrababu Naidu taking charge, surprisingly most government portals are still carrying the photos of the former chief minister and his cabinet colleagues. Though it is mandatory that concerned officials should change photos soon after change in the government, their negligent attitude causes everyone to wonder.
On June 4, the election results were announced and on June 12, the cabinet including Chief Minister Chandrababu was sworn in. They are now mainly focusing on governance by conducting reviews on their departments and issuing orders to the officers.
In many departments, concerned officials still have not uploaded the photos of the ministers including the Chief Minister anywhere on the key government websites. The website does not include the pictures of the ministers including the Chief Minister regarding the crucial village ward secretariat department. Photos are not appearing in `Mee Seva’ portals either.
There is no photo of CM Chandrababu and the concerned minister Nadendla Manohar anywhere on the AP State Civil Supplies Department site. AP Difficulty Enabled, Senior Citizens Assistants Corporation, Andhra Pradesh Eastern Region Power Distribution Company, Andhra Pradesh Central Region Power Distribution System and AP Directorate of Medical Education websites do not include pictures of ministers including Chief Minister Chandrababu anywhere.
In the police department, there is no trace of photos of Home Minister Anitha along with the Chief Minister in NTR Police Commissionerate. The situation is similar in the AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department. The photo of the concerned Minister Ramprasad Reddy along with CM Chandrababu in the Transport Department is nowhere to be seen.
While Minister Lokesh was the Minister of IT and Education, the photos of CM including Lokesh are nowhere to be seen on AP Information Technology Academy website and Board of Intermediate Education. Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development website is also not updated.
The same trend is also seen in the websites which are being maintained to provide the details of the officials with the names of the districts. Regarding CM’s own district Chittoor, Chief Minister Chandrababu’s photo has not yet been uploaded on the District Collector’s website. The CM’s photo is still not visible on the websites of many districts including East Godavari. In some of them the photos are embedded but not visible.
