The Nellore Roti Festival, renowned across Andhra Pradesh and neighboring states, began on July 17 with a grand opening. The festival, held over five days at the Swarnala Tank near Bara Shaheed Dargah in Nellore, attracts devotees from various religious backgrounds.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved a grant of Rs 5 crore for the festival and extended his greetings to the participants. The TDP government officially recognized the festival as a state festival in 2014, celebrating its inclusivity and cultural significance.
