Nayanthara Criticizes Dhanush For Denying Permission To Use Naanum Rowdy Dhaan Songs

Actress Nayanthara has expressed strong criticism against actor Dhanush for denying permission to use songs from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her upcoming Netflix documentary. She addressed the issue through an open letter, highlighting her disappointment.

“You entered the industry with the support of a talented father and an accomplished director-brother, and have risen to become a great actor. I hope you understand my perspective as you read this. For people like me, the film industry is a constant battle for survival. Coming from no industry background, I had to fight hard to reach where I am today.

I am deeply indebted to my profession and the fans who support me, and I have no hesitation in admitting that. The Netflix documentary based on my life is not just eagerly awaited by me but also by cinema lovers. Despite numerous challenges, we created it with the support of loved ones.

However, your personal grievances against me and the project have caused significant trouble for everyone involved. This documentary features pivotal moments from my life, including my cinematic journey, love, marriage, and cherished memories with fellow actors.

It pains me that something as significant as Naanum Rowdy Dhaan could not be part of it. For nearly two years, we sought an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from you to use the film’s photos, videos, and songs. Even as the Netflix release date approached, we awaited your approval, only to be disappointed.

Ultimately, we decided to give up hope and re-edit the documentary. Your refusal to grant permission has broken my heart,” Nayanthara stated.
