Narayana Secures Three AP Wine Shops For Followers

In Andhra Pradesh, a lottery system was used yesterday to allocate new wine shop licenses. The winners celebrated their success, while those who didn’t make the cut expressed disappointment. Several individuals formed groups to improve their odds, and there was notable participation from political figures, who also vied for the licenses, making the competition intense across various regions.

Sujala, daughter of the late Nandyal MP and industrialist SPY Reddy, has secured numerous liquor shop tenders across multiple districts. She won tenders for six shops in Annamayya district, four in Anantapur district, one in Kurnool district, and also acquired licenses for shops in the Pileru constituency.

In a strategic move, Andhra Pradesh Minister P. Narayana invested ₹2 crores from his personal funds to support 100 of his loyalists in securing liquor shop licenses. Out of the 100 applications submitted, they successfully obtained three licenses. Instead of managing the shops centrally, Narayana assigned the responsibility to 18 trusted individuals, with six people overseeing each store. He emphasized the importance of running the establishments transparently and within legal guidelines, aiming to maintain a reputation of integrity in their operations.
