Nara Lokesh warns Action Against Those spreading Mis-Information on `Thalliki Vandanam’

Education Minister Nara Lokesh has warned that there will be serious consequences for YSRCP leaders who are alleging that Rs. 13,000 was given to the mother and Rs. 2,000 was deposited in his account in the `Thalliki Vandanam’ scheme.

He demanded that they prove that Rs. 2,000 was deposited in his account, otherwise they should apologize and withdraw the statement. If they do not do so, he made it clear that he will take legal action against them.

He clarified that false allegations will not be ignored like in the past and cautioned that those who make baseless allegations will have to pay the price. He revealed that the transfers of teachers will be completed by Monday. He appealed to all the people to enroll their children in government schools.

Minister Nara Lokesh clarified that the government is ready to benefit as many people as are eligible for the `ThallikI Vandanam’. He alleged that the previous government had given Amma Vodi to only 42 lakh people, but the coalition government has given it to 67.27 lakh students. He said that those who are still eligible will be given.

He explained that Rs. 3405 crore more than the previous government is being paid as `ThallikI Vandanam’ funds and funds have been deposited in the accounts of 18.55 lakh beneficiaries so far. He also said that a one teacher per class policy was introduced in 9600 schools, but this policy was implemented in only 1200 schools in the previous government.

The Minister said that if funds are not deposited due to technical problems, they will be resolved through WhatsApp complaints. He said that 2 percent of the mothers’ accounts are inactive and they have been alerted through messages. Minister Lokesh clarified that many reforms have been brought in intermediate, but it will take some time to implement them properly.

He said that many reforms still need to be brought in higher education and they are focusing on them. He also felt that fee reimbursement also needs to be streamlined. He said that in the past, people with more than one child used to educate one and send the rest to work, but now it is not like that.
