Nara Lokesh Team signed 8 key MoUs with Madras IIT

The Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government is taking strategic steps to take Andhra Pradesh towards progress. As part of that, it is also entering into key agreements with several organizations with the aim of acquiring advanced technology and knowledge.

In that context, the AP government entered into key agreements with IIT Madras on Friday. With the aim of acquiring advanced technology, agreements were signed in 8 departments in the presence of State IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh. Earlier, the IIT Madras team held discussions with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and reached an understanding over these agreements.

 The Andhra Pradesh government has signed these agreements with IIT Madras to develop the capital Amaravati into a world- class city, make advanced technology and research findings available to the people of AP, and provide training to graduate and undergraduate students in line with the needs of industries.

AP CRDA has signed an agreement for technical advice in setting up an international deep tech research, design, innovation and incubation park in Amaravati. An AP Maritime Board agreement has been signed between IIT Madras and the Andhra Pradesh government for marine research, communication and coastal energy harvesting technologies.

The AP Skill Development Organization has signed an agreement to improve the quality of scale skilling programs through platforms like Swayam Plus and IITM Pravartak Digital Skill Academy. An agreement was signed between the two parties to provide advanced technical training as per the needs of the industry.

The Investment and Infrastructure Department signed an agreement with the aim of converting airports into logistics/maintenance hubs. An agreement was signed with the IT Department to develop Visakhapatnam as an internet gateway using advanced technology available internationally.

An agreement was signed with RTGS to improve software infrastructure in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The Sports Department signed an agreement to seek technical advice from IITM for the establishment of a smart tech enabled sports city with international level facilities in the capital of Amaravati.
