During the Andhra Pradesh elections and after the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP alliance came to power the name of `Red Book’ has been well haerd. Once again, Minister Nara Lokesh made it clear that strict action will be taken against the officials, MLAs, ministers and public representatives who violated the law during the rule of the YCP government.
He said that the red book has already been opened in AP and three IPS officers have also been suspended. Lokesh spoke to the media after a surprise inspection at a school in Srikakulam and once again reminded that whoever violates the law must be punished. He fumed that universities were turned into centers of political rehabilitation during the previous government.
He made it clear that investigations will be conducted into irregularities reported in some universities during the previous regime and strict action will be taken against who committed fraud. Responding to the criticism of the Red Book, he asserted that those who have transgressed the law will not be spared under any circumstances.
He reminded that many IPS officers were also suspended as part of this. Nara Lokesh said that the government’s preference is to have the right person in the right place. He said what happened to former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Nara Lokesh said that it would be good if YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is going to Tirumala soon, should follow the tradition of giving a declaration, in the same way he follows prevailing traditions when visiting churches and mosques. He stated that many problems including poor quality in making Tirumala Laddu were brought to his attention by devotees of Srivari during his Yuvagalam padayatra.
He asked why as TTD trust board chairman YV Subbareddy changed the rule that the turnover of the company supplying ghee to TTD should be Rs. 250 crores and reduced it to Rs. 150 crores?
He said that the government has set up a committee to investigate the irregularities in Tirumala and the facts will come out in the investigation. Lokesh said that now the YCP leaders are also admitting that the quality of Tirumala laddu is good after a change in the government.
