Minister Nara Lokesh met Vice President Jagadeep Dhankhar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday in New Delhi. Lokesh had a courtesy call on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and explained the achievements of the coalition government in AP to him. He asked him to provide support for the development of AP.
It seems that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu intends to have the Vice President lay the foundation stone for some of the new buildings of the Assembly, Secretariat and High Court planned to be built in Amaravati. Along with Minister Lokesh, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, MPs Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, Sana Satish and Byreddy Sabari also met the Vice President.
In this context, the Vice President enquired about the construction work of Amaravati. Responding to this, Lokesh told him that the capital work would be completed quickly. On this occasion, the book Yuvagalam was presented to the Vice President. The two met for about an hour.
Later during his meeting with Amit Shah issues of phone tapping by KCR government in Telangana, AP Liquor Scam and several issues are said to be figured in their discussions. It is reported that the phones of AP leaders were also tapped in the Telangana phone tapping. Lokesh has reportedly explained the developments with regard to investigation into AP liquor scam.
Lokesh also discussed the development programs being carried out in the coalition government. It is known that they discussed mainly matters related to former CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Later, Lokesh will meet Food Processing and Industries Minister Chirag Paswan and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at 4:30 pm. After that, it is reported that he will meet Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Lokesh proposed to discuss with the Law Minister the issues related to the establishment of a High Court bench in Kurnool. It is known that the coalition government had previously promised to set up a High Court bench in Kurnool. It is said that the proposals related to this will be submitted to the Union Minister. He will meet Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday morning. Later, he will meet former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
