Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh announced that efforts are underway to rebuild the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana. He stated that the party’s future action plan would be revealed soon, with activities set to commence in the near future.
Lokesh highlighted that 1.60 lakh people have enrolled as TDP members in Telangana, showcasing the public’s trust and admiration for the party despite the absence of TDP MLAs in the state. He termed this achievement a significant milestone.
The minister paid tribute to the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on the occasion of the leader’s 29th death anniversary. Speaking to the media, he praised NTR for instilling pride among Telugu people during a time when they were often referred to as “Madrasis.”
Lokesh affirmed the party’s commitment to upholding NTR’s vision and expressed optimism that the late leader would be honored with the Bharat Ratna award.
