Nara Lokesh Discussed with Jay Shah on Establishment of International Cricket Stadium In AP

IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh discussed with ICC Chairman Jay Shah, son of union minister Amit Shah, on the establishment of an International Cricket Stadium in Andhra Pradesh. He met Jay Shah in Visakhapatnam at the International Cricket Stadium on Sunday evening.

Along with ICC Chairman Jay Shah, Lokesh and his family members watched the Delhi- Hyderabad match. They enjoyed Delhi’s grand victory over Hyderabad at the Visakhapatnam venue. Earlier, Minister Lokesh, ICC Chairman Jay Shah and BCCI President Roger Binny, who reached the cricket stadium, were given a grand welcome by Andhra Cricket Association President and Vijayawada MP Keshineni Chinni and other members

In this order, Minister Lokesh was felicitated with a shawl by ACA  Keshineni Chinni and presented a memento. In recognition of the renovation and modernization of the stadium, Minister Lokesh along with ICC Chairman Jay Shah, BCCI President Roger Binny and ACA President Keshineni Chinni unveiled a plaque.

Union Minister K Rammohan Naidu, Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Visakhapatnam MP Sri Bharat, Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, former cricketer Chamundeshwarinath, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla, former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Mithali Raj, ACA Secretary Sana Satish, Treasurer Dandamudi Srinivas and other ACE Apex members participated in the program.

In view of the presence of celebrities to watch the match, heavy security arrangements were made at the Visakhapatnam Stadium under the supervision of City Police Commissioner Shankabrata Bagchi. Police security was made with about 1700 personnel. Fans also came in large numbers to watch the match.

Traffic restrictions were imposed in Visakhapatnam on this occasion. It is known that 28,000 people can watch the match at the ACA- VDCA ground at a time.

Earlier, Nara Lokesh reached the city on Sunday afternoon, he was welcomed at the airport by MP Sri Bharat, MLAs P. Ganababu, Velagapudi Ramakrishnababu, MLC Duvvarapu Rama Rao, Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli party presidents Gandi Babji, Bathula Tatayyababu, Buddha Nagajagadeeswar Rao and others.
