Zurich: During his visit to Switzerland for the Davos trip, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, addressed a gathering of NRIs in Zurich. Speaking about the state’s progress and the leadership of his father, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh highlighted the pivotal role Naidu has played in shaping Andhra Pradesh’s industrial and developmental landscape.
Lokesh emphasized the strength of the “CBN brand,” noting, “When industrialists are asked why they should invest in Andhra Pradesh, I always say one thing—our brand is CBN. The mention of CBN opens doors to companies globally. That’s the influence of CBN.” He further elaborated on Naidu’s career, describing how, after founding four companies and facing setbacks with three, Naidu achieved significant success with Heritage Foods.
The Minister reflected on Naidu’s resilience in the face of adversity, particularly recalling his father’s unwavering spirit even after being arrested. “Life is full of challenges, but the fight for one’s principles leads to ultimate victory. Chandrababu Naidu is the embodiment of this truth,” Lokesh said.
Lokesh also took pride in the major accomplishments under Naidu’s leadership, such as the state’s political unity, the Amaravati movement, and the safe evacuation of Telugu people from Ukraine. He highlighted the establishment of empowerment centers and skill development initiatives that have contributed to the state’s progress.
Addressing his tenure as Minister for Human Resources Development, Lokesh mentioned his decision to reform the Overseas Non-Capital Assistance Program (ONCAP) initially launched by Naidu to provide opportunities for blue-collar jobs overseas.
Lokesh further underscored the goal of Naidu to see Telugu people excel globally, stating, “Chandrababu’s vision is for Telugu people to be number one, wherever they are.” He also acknowledged the contributions of the NRI community, particularly during elections, and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in the state’s future development.
Concluding his address, Lokesh affirmed his commitment to completing the ongoing Red Book work and ensuring accountability for those who violate laws. “The Red Book work has begun, and I take full responsibility for its completion,” he said.
