The sequel to the blockbuster Akhanda, titled Akhanda 2 – Tandavam, featuring senior Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Boyapati Srinu, is progressing rapidly. Following the successful shoot of pivotal scenes at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the production has shifted to Georgia for a crucial schedule.
The film’s makers are filming extensive high-intensity action sequences in scenic locations across Georgia. Reports indicate the involvement of foreign stunt fighters to enhance the scale and authenticity of the action scenes featuring Balakrishna.
A video from the Akhanda 2 shooting location in Georgia recently surfaced online, gaining traction on social media. Produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film features music by Thaman.
Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead opposite Balakrishna, while Aadi Pinisetty is cast as the antagonist. The makers have confirmed a theatrical release date of September 25, timed with the Dussehra festival.
Building on the success of previous collaborations such as Simha, Legend, and Akhanda, expectations are high for Akhanda 2 to be another major hit for the Balakrishna-Boyapati combination.
